Diverse women representing cultural inclusivity in healthcare

Menopause & CVD Health Prevention Hub

Culturally and faith-aware menopause and heart-health support for ethnically diverse women

Women from ethnically diverse backgrounds, starting with Muslim, South Asian and Black women, face higher menopause-linked cardiovascular risk and lower NHS Health Check uptake. ThriveHer brings trusted community engagement, clinical support and digital tools together to close this gap.

    Why This Matters

    Higher Cardiovascular Risk

South Asian women have 3x higher heart disease risk and Black women have 2x higher stroke risk.

    Low Health Check Uptake

NHS Health Check uptake in diverse communities is often below 40%.

    Workforce Impact

1 in 10 women leave work due to menopause symptoms, plus cultural stigma delays help-seeking.

    How The Hub Works

    1. Engage Women

    • Culturally and faith-aware menopause and heart-health workshops delivered in trusted spaces such as mosques, community hubs and workplaces.
    • Optional CVD Corner: blood pressure, waist measurement and pharmacy-linked cholesterol checks.

    2. Support Clinicians

A lightweight digital tool (prototype) giving menopause and CVD red-flag cues and culturally aware consultation prompts.

    3. Empower Women

A simple digital self-check with personalised guidance and a downloadable GP summary.
